Community Service

Part of what sets Newman Creed & Associates apart from other law firms in Hartford County is our devotion to serving the community and providing assistance to active and retired members of the United States military. Our lawyers and staff members devote a substantial amount of time fundraising and holding events to benefit those in need.
The Fisher House
Newman Creed & Associates is an ardent supporter of the Fisher House Foundation, an organization devoted to helping military families. The Fisher House Foundation knows how comforting it is for servicemen and women who are ill or injured to have family members nearby as they receive medical care, and has built or purchased homes for families to stay in on military bases where their relatives seek treatment. More than 34 Fisher Houses have opened since the program's inception in 1990—and estimates indicate that the Fisher House Foundation has saved military families more than $150 million in transportation and housing costs.
A retired military pilot, attorney Kevin Creed is the chief executive officer of the Friends of Fisher House Connecticut. The Friends of Fisher House Connecticut's goal is to build a home for military families to stay near the VA hospital in West Haven. The organization holds frequent fundraising events, and Newman Creed & Associates is the proud host for the annual Fisher House Road Race in Bristol. Other events include golf tournaments, football games, and charitable dinners.
Care packages for deployed troops
In addition to their work with the Fisher House Foundation, Newman Creed & Association also partners with Stop & Shop and the Knights of Columbus to send care packages to front line troops each holiday season. Members of the firm participate in the fundraising aspect of creating the care packages and the firm pays for the cost of transporting hundreds of gifts every year.
